Dresser "Essaouira"
This vintage dresser (1964) was a blank slate for color and different techniques, and at the same time, a lesson in restraint. I wanted to give it just enough flair, so that it could read masculine or feminine, without competing against the gorgeous mirrored drawer fronts. The waves from the paint pour on the doors remind me of the crashing waves I saw when visiting Essaouira in Morocco some years ago. I left a piece of my heart there, and I’ve left a little bit in this piece. I hope it will find a happy home and bring joy though it next adoption.
Dresser W 137 cm / D 45 cm / H54 cm / H, incl mirror 180 cm
