Drinks Cabinet Vitrine "Bruges"
“Over the moon” cannot quite describe how I’m feeling for this piece. From the moment I saw her, in the um, pile, of rejected furniture, I knew she could have a long future ahead. Maybe having been tossed aside because of being covered in dirt and, err, other stuff, or, maybe because the key was nowhere in sight and she could not even be opened.
Well, I’ve cleaned her up and given her a new look and new soul. The wobbly wooden shelves have been replaced with custom glass, the wood of the legs bleached, the inside has been dressed in a cheeky paper, and the outside has been swathed in Dixie Belle paint colors Dropcloth & Antebellum Blue, and sprinkled with gold leaf. The light that shines from within are warm white LEDs. And, oh yes, it only took three months, but I found a new key. Works a charm now.
I visualized her as a gin cabinet/bar, but she also would make a lovely addition to a dressing or entry hall. Swipe to see the before👉🏼
