Vintage Fireplace Tool Set Ann Maes Mace-Line
Rare moderniste fireplace set designed by Belgian designer Ann Maes in the late 1970s. The design, which was part of her graduation project for the Design Academy Eindhoven has stood the test of time to become an iconic display of the proof that minimalist design & functionality can co-exist. The original design is also part of the collection at the Boijmans van Beuningen Museum in Rotterdam.
The black iron 5 piece set consists of a support which holds a brush, a blow pipe, a poker and pliers. There are some signs of wear up close, given its vintage age, but the set is overall complete, in very good condition, and can serve for years to come.
